the shins- they'll soon discover this is the song they did for the spongebob square pants movie. its a damn good song. i like it when a band like the shins make music intended for small children, it makes me all warm inside.

sonny rollins- st. thomas the term "smooth jazz" nowadays is often in reference to that easy listening middle-age american cubical shit. but damn this is some smooth jazz, and how smooth it is. sonny is the man, and this song clearly states that. its tight, relaxed, and has more style than you can shake a stick at. also, the drum solo is quite awesome. thats it for now. i will post some more stuff later, maybe more jazz.

Gillian Welch - I Dream a Highway This is the last track on her 2001 album Time (The Revelator) and is a completely amazing 15-minute piece of dreamy, meandering folk music. This is one of those songs where it doesn't even feel like it's 15 minutes long, it's just so dang beautiful and you pretty much want it to keep playing forever and though 15 minutes isn't forever, it's longer than most of these folky country songs. madeline- what the devil doesnt know wont hurt him i got a ton of new music from our tunes today. well, not alot really, just few things ive been really interested in for a while. this is madeline adams. shes off of plan-it-x records, and its really fucking good. i learned about her form my friend will. ive heard this song some where at some point, i jsut cant remember where it was. oh well, enjoy.

Gang Wizard - Untitled I am not really sure what it is about this song, Gang Wizard's half of a split with Yellow Swans, that I love so much. the modern lovers- abominable snowman in the market i think this is a good respond to the clash-lost in the supermarket, it came out around the same time, and is much too silly. i was going to post more songs that were just really silly and cute, but the damn thing isnt working. whatev, time to go to class.
