My love of Gayngs, the collective consisting of some recognisable names hailing from the US Midwest, is pretty well known by now if you follow me on Twitter. Their latest video takes a similar vein to previous effort 'The Gaudy Side Of Town' in the fact that it's a live performance and white clothing seems to be the order of the day once again. Somewhat ashamedly Black Mountain are new on my radar. The Canadian 5-some offer up a combination of psych-rock and blues-rock in their latest track 'The Hair Song'. Taking a listen to some of their back-catalogue it seems these guys like to get heavy sometimes with some real metal influences evident on their 2008 album In The Future , 'The Hair Song' seems a more accessible track with a joyous feel to it. Ernest Green, better known as Washed Out, has had quite a year, a year where he's gone from a bedroom producer making music for a hobby to become one of the forefront musicians in the 'Chillwave' scene. The video to accompany 'Hold Out' shows Greene on tour with his band. Directed by John Lipari the video shares the mixed highs and lows of touring, from the the love-in stage invasions to the solemn empty hallways, Greene's life is captured perfectly in the three and a half minute video. A video using footage from live shows, it's not exactly revolutionary but for Arcade Fire there's no need to detract away from the music. The black and white, slow-mo'd video to accompany 'Ready To Start' shows what a great live show Win Butler and co. put on for their fans, cementing their place as one of the biggest rock acts in the world today. Looking back through the archives I can't believe I've never written about Real Estate here on Indiescreet. The Brooklyn based bands self titled debut album has been amongst my most played since it's release last year. 'Out Of Tune', as Stereogum reports, was previewed by the band during their Daytrotter session a couple of weeks back but was left untitled. 'Follow' and 'Swallow' are two brand new track from Crystal Fighters which display the bands genre-blurring credentials at their best yet. 'Follow' steadily builds up from it's acoustic beginnings to quickly grow into a bass-beat laden track which manages to balance the mix of laid back and upbeat impeccably. 'Swallow' really caught me by surprise; at around a minute the beat begins to build before a rather heavy handed dubstep drop takes effect. It wasn't at all what I was expecting and I'm not sure it totally works but the sheer audacity [...]

LightsoverLA's résumé of work includes remixes of Two Door Cinema Club, Hurts, Crystal Castles and Miike Snow amongst many, the latest remix of Delorean's 'Real Love' continues a rich vein of form from the upcoming DJ. Working dubstep undertones into the equation the remix adds another dimension to the original without pushing too far away from the original. Keep an eye out for a LightsoverLA EP in October.
