What an amazing tour for 2ManyDJs ! The album cover animations, the confetti and even a guest comic appearance by Nicolas Cage have all helped make the 2010 Under The Covers Tour a huge success. For those of you that missed their recent Irish gigs in Langtons and the Olympia, Hailfairy has found one of their tour livesets from Coachella and a series of videos from both of their Irish gigs shot on our recently purchased iPhone4s. You can find the tracklist at the very bottom of this post . [...]

Any fans of Simian Mobile Disco should get their hands on this 31 minute excerpt from their Oxegen 2010 liveset below. Hailfairy had a vuvuzela at this set and we can hear it during the liveset every so often. Quite funny, sorry for the distracting horn sounds! With a new club night and music release project called Delicatessen & Delicacies in the pipeline, we expect some more solid releases from the duo later on this year. Simian Mobile Disco [...]

With their self-entitled album launching in October, Melbourne Duo Bag Raiders have just released the first teaser called Way Back Home on the radio-home of new Aussie music Triple J . With a voice-over reminiscent of Presets frontman Julian Hamilton, this track is bound for success and we can't wait for the first album to land. You can pre-book the album over on the wonderful Modular website . Check out the soundclouded track below and also download their most recent minimix here [...]

We always loved a Busy P interview, still one of if not the coolest guy in music, although Sven would run him close! The amazing Red Bull academy recently did a 2 Hour! video with the former Dafty Punk manager! If your not aware of the Red Bull Academy website and you have a day to scratch your arse, well there's a whole days worth of amazing interviews worth checking out. Full video here
We want one! How amazing is this, song could do with a bit of work though!! Behold the awesome majesty of the Lego Sequencer MR II . This brilliant instrument is the work of Yoshi Akai , an avant garde artist/musician/audio mad scientist from Japan currently blowing the minds of folks the world over from his base in Sweden. Akai has turned a background in textile art and design and an interest in sound into some of the most unusual musical [...]

Well now you know! We absolutely love their new Remix of LOTP's "Best in the Class". Erol played it recently on BBC6, top top top tune! They're still the best remixers in the business! One of us, possibly both of us, are heading over to Barcelona for Sonar this June. The Dewaele's are playing, they got us pretty excited at EP will they do it again? Can they still deliver?!
We're one step closer to the release of 'Tron The Legacy', the sequel to 1982's 'Tron', one of the most venerated Sci-fi movies of all time. Directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring newly Oscar-ified Jeff Bridges (who reprises his 1982 role as Jeff Flynn), the movie is about artificial intelligence and gaming. While it's 3D, its not like Avatar. According to Kosinski "Ours is sort of a "Wizard of Oz" approach. Ninety-eight percent of the 3-D is in the world of "Tron." The 3-D really starts once we get into the Tron world. We used a newer generation of camera [...]

Following the double A side single 'Waves' / ' Death Suite' on BoysNoize Records, Erol Alkan and Boys N oize have announced the next double header single 'Avalanche' / 'Lemonade'. The names are flipped around this time as this single is being released by Erol's label, and you can listen to previews on Erol's Myspace and Facebook , as well as Boys Noize's Myspace [...]

The Great thing about Bestival other than being a great festival, is that it's like what T in the Park is to Oxegen. Its a great indicator as to what acts will be arriving on EP's doorstep the week before. I love the set up of their website also. I really wish electricpicnic.ie would get it's act together with theirs. Another sick thing about Bestival was just how much good weather they got last year. I don't think i saw one picture with a clowd in it. It pissed all EP and then we went on [...]
Hailfairy has been quiet for a couple of months, so no better time than coming out of the doldrums to introduce an up and coming artist, Delphic. Delphic is an electronic indie three piece group from Manchester known for mixing euphoric electronica with anthemic songs for a post-dance world. The group is consists of vocalists, guitarists, drummers and the compulsory synth operator, which is becoming the norm for this emerging genre with the likes of The XX and Casio Kids. The boys can also remix as their revision of Phoenix - Fences below. Their debut album Acolyte [...]

So here it is. The first DJ controller manufactured by Native Instruments is going to be available in February for $229 (€199) It's called the Kontrol X1 and is the same controller shown in the Ritchie Hawtin video we posted on here a while back. The X1 is a dedicated 2-deck controller with FX, loops, loading and transport controls for 2 decks for Traktor, BUT and its a big but is it lacks mixer controls, which sucks. We were really looking forward to this launch, however it wastes buttons on Tap tempo which no one [...]
Anyone keen for fun in Dublin this Sunday needs to check out the Bacardi B-Live party in Pod. Bacardi and Pod have teamed over a good few bank hollier Sundays over the last 2 years and always seem deliver the goods with 3 rooms each containing a different style of music from Brazilian Drums to sweaty electro. Tickets are 20 Eurex and can be bought up here . DJ Mehdi knows this venue well and we expect him to lure the crowd in with his typical blend of [...]

Studio !K7 have produced the goods again by adding Chromeo to their long list of artists on their DJ-Kicks albums. The Montreal duo had some big shoes to fill with this album following previous DJ-Kicks albums from the likes of Erlend Oye, Tiga and Hot Chip to name a few. This latest version fails to disappoint with some classic blends of jazz, synth and funk will keep you bopping for hours on end. The album features some old skool electronic sounds from back [...]

Ok we're absolutely blown away by this! One of us had been questioning the man recently on whether he still got it, and the answer is a definitive YES! There is just so much energy in this!! Berlin's Boys Noize aka Alex Ridha takes to the turntables for two hours of supercharged house & techno! October 10th 2009 Boys Noize 1. Kenny Larkin "Rubbernotes" (Plus 8 Records) 2. Dj Funk "F** U Later" (Dancemania) [...]

Ok so we know that Thomas and Guy are have scored the OST for Disneys remake of 'Tron' which seems like forever away from a release (December 2010). But what we didn't know was that they'd be making a cameo in the movie! We know all this thanks to 25 year old airhead Olivia Wilde whos stars in the remake and she let it slip in a recent interview with MTV. Read here " They were in the movie, " star Olivia Wilde let [...]

Were so excited to hear this after the amazingness that was "Sound of Silver", still can't believe they've recorded new material after the rumours about them finishing last year. We're gonna get our ears on this soon! Bye Bye Bayou' is the first new music from LCD Soundsystem since the release of 'Sound of Silver,' and it is a stunning re-introduction of the band to the world. The track is a cover of an Alan Vega (Suicide) song from his 1981 debut album. [...]

Here's the new Video for Justice and Lenny Kravitz's "Let Love Rule". We heard this track ages ago and forgot about its existence, remembered liking it at the time, but probably like it more now after watching the video. Directed by Keith Schofield, great video, watch it til the end, we love it.
