It has been awhile since we posted here, on the site. We trust that you enjoyed your holiday season and started off the new year in a positive way. The CS team reached a point, a point we must share with our viewers. The Time Has Come to Say Goodbye... For Now. Hundreds of thoughts are running through our minds as we conjure the words to present to you, our readers. The idea to create The CS Perspective came to us one day, some four [...]

Earlier this year, designer Theodore Sealy presented his latest collection at Islands Of the World Fashion Showcase . The collection which was very subdued in color selection, when compared to his previous collections, was full of nudes and navy with some highlights of teal and lime green. Sealy teamed with photography Chrisean Dames to bring the latest Theodore Elyett collection to life before presenting his lookbook. A few teaser images are available to view... VOTE [...]

It's been over two years since we spoke with Jay Complex ; we lost touch along the way. Nonetheless, he continued to make his music and carried on greatly. Last evening, Jay released a little something different titled "From Nirvana, With Love." The 93P -produced track pushes a rock/urban vibe along with Jay's familiar forward flow. Big Ron sounds chilling in his bits, almost like a haunting voiceover. It's a decent track and it's nice to hear Jay switch it up a bit. We look forward to more.

Back in 2003, Philadelphian rap duo Young Gunz created an unexpected hit in "Can't Stop, Won't Stop." That was the jumpstart the Roc-A-Fella records signees needed to release their debut album, Tough Luv . Consider "Can't Stop..." to be the duos peak as it was their most successful mark in the industry. The single's beat was so minimal and was so odd compared to everything else that was on the radio. After a few spins the single became addictive. Step back and listen to this older tune.

Miguel won many over with his debut album, All I Want Is You . The Los Angeles-born singer has returned two years later with the release of his sophomore album titled Kaleidoscope Dream . Technically, the second album kicked off at the top of 2012 when he released various EP's, taking the gems from each release to place on the final version of Kaleidoscope Dream. Kaleidoscope is an amalgamation of Electronic, Pop, Rock, R&B, Soul and Funk sounds; this album is lush. This is an artist's album, a perfected craft if [...]
Azealia Banks keeps it moving with the release of the Clarence Fuller -directed visual for "Luxury," after controversy bubbled over when DJ Munchi put a hold on the iTunes release of "Esta Noche." "Luxury" is lifted from Banks' most recent mixtape, titled Fantasea and can be downloaded for FREE HERE . The video is all about Banks and her back-up strutting their style in NYC. The clip is brief and minimal but hits the nail on the head. Look out for the video for "Atlantis" but for now, watch "Luxury" below.

Hey, RAPP Quelle, what have you been up to? It's been awhile since we checked in with Quelle. The lyrical monster releases a new track: a remix to Wiz Khalifa's "The Race," titled "#LiveEveryDay." A shift, we're used to hearing Quelle destroy and disintegrate matter with his machine gun approach to his music. "#LiveEveryDay" is so relaxed and mellow. It's a perfect late night track to listen to. Lyrically optimistic, it's great to see Quelle still at it. Listen to the track below.

Have you ever felt the feeling of euphoria, as it passes through your nasal passage and down through the rest of your body? Well that is what we felt after we listened to Rihanna's newest single "Diamonds," lifted from her forthcoming seventh studio album. "Diamonds" was co-produced by Benny Blanco and Stargate , with Sia credited as a writer. Gone is Rihanna's ditty approach to making a hit single. Replacing "nah, nah, nah" in exchange for a shift in tempo and lyrical maturity, Rihanna displays vocal [...]

Today is the day, No Doubt's Push and Shove hits music outlets across North America and beyond. We were so excited when the title track was released but became sadder and sadder as the single was pushed aside and labeled as a promotional single. We want to hear this song live... Not to worry, the single of "Push and Shove" received the video treatment. The video is high contrast black and white. With the quirky and fun personalities of the bandmates it's almost as if the video is in [...]

Today is a good day for single premieres. America's sweetheart, Taylor Swift, premieres the second official single from her Red album, out October 22 . "Begin Again" is a contrast to the ber Pop "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." The song is the perfect mix of Country and Pop that makes Swift's music so attractive. Take a listen to this soft guitar-driven song below.

Out of the blue, comes an unreleased track from crooner Frank Ocean. This time he trades in those echoey falsettos for his ability to lick off some introspective rhymes. Listen after...

Hmm, Lana Del Rey, she certainly has grown on us. The artist who was predicted to be the breakout female star at the beginning of the year is rereleasing her debut album. The album has the new title of Born To Die: The Paradise Edition and will be released on November 12 with nine brand new tracks. The lead single from The Paradise Edition of the album is up for full listen. The lyrically explicit "Ride" is in the same vain as Lana's past songs: haunting vocals over some [...]

Ever since listening to " Tokyo Part 2 ," the premiere of Ke$ha's single could not come quicker. So now, the single is here and... "Die Young" is produced by Benny Blanco , Cirkut and Dr. Luke ; the song is co-written by fun.'s leadman Nate Ruess . What we liked about the "Tokyo..." clip is how piercingly and obnoxiously loud Ke$ha sounded but in this actual single she sounds very subdued. The single is not terrible, do not get us wrong, it just is more of a [...]

No Doubt's Push and Shove will finally hit music outlets this upcoming Tuesday, the 25th . We've listened to the album and the band does not disappoint. They deliver a very solid album; an album which reminds listeners why they were so successful some eleven years ago. This new album comes with eleven brand new tracks, not including the bonus track remixes. Everyone of those eleven songs are beautifully constructed and boast such nice melodies. A perfect example of this is track number seven. The Mark "Spike" Stent -produced [...]

Whilst in Las Vegas, where Rihanna performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, details were released on Rihanna's forthcoming single. The glowing star took a few minutes to exchange words with Elvis Duran. "Diamonds" will premiere on "Elvis Duran & The Morning Show" on Wednesday morning ( September 26 ) at 8am ET . Rihanna describes the single as neither sad nor will it make you dance. " You're not sad or dancing, you're happy and hippy... The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love and a little different to [...]

Posting covers can be quite mundane but when the cover completely flips the script and turns the original into something nearly brand new, then we're listening to something exiting. Rapper Wonda covers the timeless "Thinkin' Bout You," by rapping. Take the jump and listen to the rework. Also, take a listen to the infectious Ryan Hemsworth bootleg of the same song. The added strings and synths make the song that much more incredible.
E-40 and Too $hort have come together for a pair of collaborative albums titled History: Mob Music and History: Function Music , both due in music outlets on November 6 . Tonight, we have a release from the latter. Travis Porter and Young Chu join the duo for this song, dedicated to shaking your rear. What can we say, it's a fun song about letting loose and behaving without couth. Mob Music will be for the old school lovers and Function Music will be for the newer generation.

"I am a music producer , photographer & videographer/director. Everyday I'm learning to find a balance in them all." Here at CS, we are from the good old "The Bahamas." Whilst we respect and support our people here at home, in the country, we get a little kick and excitement seeing our talented Bahamians take their aspirations and visions abroad. Even if it's just a forty-five minute flight to Miami, we support our own. Of course, the talent has to tickle our fancy. Let us introduce you to 21-years-old, J.ME.B. who currently [...]

Lady GaGa can sing but can she rap? With a collaboration with Hip-Hop shining star Kendrick Lamar in the pipeline, Lady GaGa appears in a newly surfaced song. The track is titled "Cake Like Lady GaGa" and is the outcome of her pairing with DJ White Shadow . This is not Hip-Hop, it's more GaGa speaking with a particular style. The tracks sounds very similar to Kreayshawn's music; the song is a fun little track. Listen to it below.
