I'll still be doing occasional shows, but most of my blogging energy is going toward my new blog WI Public Health Policy : http://publichealthpolicy.tumb lr.com Come say hi.
2008 JustSayin Show featuring TD Reisert
Yellow Ostrich - Whale , Mary This is one of my dreams made a reality. Support Alex's project on Kickstarter .

Sufjan Stevens is amazing and everything, but did you notice DM Stith playing backup... hot off his stop at Madison's Gates of Heaven this past June.

Matthew Burrows - The Seer (2008 ) I'm shaken by the wind. There's dead falling. A death march to endure . Nina Simone - Strange Fruit (mp3)

Matt Johnson - Breadface (2004) I heard a poem on the radio today. There should be more poems on the radio. I almost posted the text here. But instead decided to write vaguely about it so you'll never find it. And when you hear a poem on the radio, you'll agree. There should be more poems on the radio. It would be weird to hear one in your refrigerator or bathtub. But on the radio, yes. More poems. Radio poems. Radoems. [...]

Ari Marcopoulos [ from Now is Forever] I don't know, man, this is reminding me of what I first fell in love with. Not rocket science, just a plain-faced girl letting you see a little pale piece of her soul. Try to ignore everything you've heard (including this), turn off all the lights, stand in the middle of the room in your underwear, and just let it shake you. Zola Jesus - LightStick (mp3)
Playing at Project Lodge next Sunday, October 3rd.
Featuring Patrick Breiner, Cyrus Roat, Pat Reinholz, Ben Willis, and Jen Clare Paulson.
Park(ing) Day in Madison will be September 17th in the Atwood Neighborhood. Support me by donating $10, $25, or $100 to my project to reclaim city space for creating culture instead of commuting. My parking space park will be inspired by the potential for city greenspace to grow food for schools and communities. Read more about our project here and tell your friends on Facebook . Please chip in to support local art, I can't do this without your support of the [...]

Maurizio Bongiovanni from "Bird Rib" (2010) Nic and I are having a conversation without talking. It happens when your neurons look like the same rorschach. His might resemble a saxophone a little more than mine. I have a very low tolerance for woodwind and brass. David Karsten Daniels - The Knot Unties (mp3)

Aske - Indigo (2010) I'm kinda glad we haven't gotten over painting our faces neon yet. There is much more to learn about ourselves in synthesizers and bonfires on the beach. Madness is the only thing that can convince our brains we're better than they think. CocoRosie - Lemonade (mp3)
I love public access TV. My favorite program of all time is Cooking with Bob , which displays a 1hr continuous shot of a Weber grill. Every week, a different object is placed on the grill and left to burn. Genius performance artist Nicole Gruter (who is moving from Madison to New Orleans) is holding a public access style two-day telethon this weekend to benefit...herself! Watch the live stream below - featuring guest appearances from local celebrities, musicians, artists, [...]

In case you sorely missed the Inlets in April , or DM Stith last October ... JustSayinIsAll.com & Sin Qua Non Live PRESENT an evening of indie worship on Wednesday, June 23rd at 6:30pm featuring DM Stith ( listen ) The Inlets ( listen ) [...]

Matthieu Lavanchy - from MR. SCHUHLMANN or THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE If I go to sleep, the next thing I'll see is tomorrow morning. It can come - I have come to understand that this is inevitable - but don't think I'm going to help it. Let sleep seek me out, wrestle me to the ground, and beat me into the black. Memoryhouse - [...]

Marina Abramovic & Ulay Laysiepen - Rest Energy (1980) You & Yourn - Double Knots (mp3): You make it OK to leave the house, I imagine. You are the danger of the streets with the pretty puddles too. Don't shoot me down. If any of this is true at all, don't shoot me down. There isn't enough lumber left for me to build a safer city. Let's skip the movies and move in together.

Super Fertile - CRA$H I just can't get into summer music yet. I haven't quite thawed inside. It takes me a while. So how about this cold Zola track chucked into the Rory defroster? A confusing haze of being heavily referential and forward-thinking at the same time. Darkness that embraces you, but not too close, to dance. Pop in a minor key. Cynical toes dipped into summer auto-tune. It still might snow. Nika + Rory [...]
