Jay-Z & Kanye West (feat. Frank Ocean) – No Church In The Wild (Official Video)

No Church In The Wild
An official video drop from Watch The Throne pretty much shuts down the internet. Here we have the extravagant, over-the-top, violent, molitov cocktail-laden, politically charged visuals for their album opener "No Church In The Wild." What, you expected them to mail this one in? Tweet

Jhameel – A Maiden Calling

Jhameel's in the midst of his Are You Free musical series in which he's releasing a new track every week for the people. The Oakland native is one of the few artists who leaves me with no idea what to expect whenever I press play on his new material. His music goes in so many different directions, it's impossible to tell what his new jams will sound like prior to listening for the first time. There's no go-to style of his, no conformity - every song legitimately sounds unique. That in itself is refreshing. Stream/download his new one, "A Maiden [...]

Deadmau5 – The Veldt (Drankenstein Remix)

B-Rob introduced me to a young prodigy by the name of Bird Peterson today - and I'm hooked on his edit of "The Veldt." I have no idea why this is called the "Drankenstein Remix" - as the remix is done by Bird Peterson, but if that's what he wants it to be called then I will abide by his request. The kid has signed to Diplo's Mad Decent label, which makes perfect sense after you listen to his skills on full display below. He opts for a brand new drum pattern and beefs up the spacey synths to create [...]

Xavier Rudd – Spirit Bird

A couple things right from the get-go here. First things first, take notice of the title of this track. When you think of "Spirit Bird" you're immediately thrown into some hippy-ass, Edward Sharpe-esque outdoor world where you're climbing Machu Picchu in attempt to find the underlying meaning of life. I can fully guarantee that if you're searching for the meaning of your life, go outside and press play on this jam. You'll have an answer within 7 minutes, no question. Take a look at the basis for "Spirit Bird" in the words of Xavier Rudd: One old-woman spirit bird locked eyes [...]

Florence + The Machine – Spectrum (Calvin Harris Remix)

I remember hearing this remix in an Avicii set from way back, and I scoured for hours - eventually coming up empty. I should've known Calvin Harris was behind it. The man is just a monster of a producer, continually taking over the world with his new releases. This one is no different. Download: Florence + The Machine - Spectrum (Calvin Harris Remix) Tweet

Bobby Womack (feat. Lana Del Rey) – Dayglo Reflection

Bobby Womack - Dayglo Reflection (feat. Lana Del Rey)
If you dig back a bit, you'll find an album cover featuring two terrifying double-jointed thumbs, along with a hell of a track from Bobby Womack. "Please Forgive My Heart" took full control over my speakers for weeks on end - and when I got word that he was releasing a collaboration with Lana Del Rey, I was all ears. "Dayglo Reflection" will feature on Womack's 27th studio album The Bravest Man In The Universe, due out June 11th. What do we think? Tweet

Childish Gambino – Black Faces (feat. Nipsey Hussle)

Childish Gambino's getting production help from Boi-1da now apparently. He's arguably one of the most sought after producers in the game, which pretty much verifies that nobody is laughing at Donald Glover's rap career anymore. For anyone who thought it was just a side hobby, this pretty much puts that argument to rest. Gotta love the Nipsey Hussle feature here. Keep your eyes open for a new mixtape from Gambino coming in the near future. Download: Childish Gambino - Black Faces (feat. Nipsey Hussle) Tweet

The Knocks – Memorial Day Weekend In Ibiza Mix (Part II)

BOOM. The people have been asking for another Memorial Day playlist after B-Roc of The Knocks took over our holiday weekend in it's entirety with last year's installment. I distinctly recall driving to and from Maine with that on full blast like you read about. It's 2012 now, and The Knocks aren't about to let any of us down with the weekend soundtrack that we so desperately crave. Pretty sure at our last show DJ B-Rob gave B-Roc the inspiration for the Azelia Banks/M83 transition that you hear in the mix...I don't hate it. The long weekend BEGINS - enjoy [...]

Rai Knight – Working Hard EP

If you keep up with the site, you've been seeing a pretty steady stream of posts coming from Rai Knight. If you kept up with the site earlier in it's days, you'd know that Rai is an unbelievable musical talent of her own - with writing skills to spare. It just so happens that she released a new project with fellow Detroit-based producer We Are The Tay. As humble as she is, Rai figured it'd be kind of weird if she wrote about her own shit. Working Hard is made up of four equally unique tracks, ranging from electronic-themed to [...]

Knife Party – Rage Valley EP

Knife Party is set to drop their new EP "Rage Valley" this coming Monday on Beatport. Knife Party, comprised of members from UK based Pendulum have been taking the dubstep/drumstep scene by storm releasing straight speaker-murdering bangers. Their new EP does not disappoint. With production quality usually only heard from the likes of Skrillex, these guys have some serious talent. Obviously, these tracks are not the final mastered versions, but not to worry, these will be available on Monday. Also, if you haven't yet heard their last single "Internet Friends" and the remix they did for Porter Robinson's track "Unison" be sure ... [...]

Steve Aoki – Steve Jobs (Official Music Video)

Steve Aoki just premiered his music video for his song "Steve Jobs" on Mashable. It's a great representation of what transpires at an Aoki concert. Crowd surfing on a giant air mattress, sheet cakes getting launched into the audience, etc. [via Mashable] Tweet

RAC (feat. Penguin Prison) – Hollywood (The Magician Remix)

There's a Belgian DJ making some waves these days, and he goes by The Magician. RAC tapped him for the first official remix of their debut single "Hollywood", and he gives the song a completely different vibe. Still upbeat, still infectious, yet it's entirely it's own. Worth the download. Download: RAC (feat. Penguin Prison) - Hollywood (The Magician Remix) [via Green Label Sound] Tweet

Pusha T- Exodus 23:1(Feat. The-Dream)

Pusha T from the Clipse dropped his first single off of his upcoming mixtape and it has taken the internet hip hop world by storm. Not only is the track itself quality but the message has been perceived as a shot at various other rap stars. I personally just want to hear good music and that is exactly what Pusha T delivers here. Dante – Next To You

Dante, whoa. Keep doing you. Spacey, atmospheric beats coupled with booming vocals is always good in my book, and this is no different. Not to mention the hook is as addictive as they come. All things considered, I'm gonna give you one guess as to where he's from. Correct answer: Sweden. Along with every other musical act I'm into at the moment. Shout out to Arjun from SITR - I wish I had your music taste when I was in high school mang. Tweet

Zedd (feat. Matthew Koma) – Spectrum

While this is merely a sample, its' beyond evident that Zedd's new single is going to be a cross-over smash. Enlisting the vocal/lyrical assistance of Matthew Koma, Zedd is able to construct a synthed out, pulsating beat that perfectly plays off of Koma's soaring hook. Wouldn't be surprised to see this tearing up dancefloors across the country this summer. "Spectrum" will be released on June 4th via Interscope Records. Tweet

Atlas Genius – Back Seat

Atlas Genius hijacked my summer last year with their infectious single "Trojans". At the time, I was so obsessed with the song that I went on a researching rampage looking desperately for more material from the band. In the end, I came up empty - until today. "Back Seat" is a smooth, laid back three minutes, and if nothing else, it will introduce you to a new crew of Aussies that need to be recognized. Seriously though, please don't sleep on "Trojans" - one of my favorite songs of the past few years. Tweet

Maroon 5 (feat. Wiz Khalifa) – Payphone (The Sound of Arrows Remix)

It's been pretty tough to avoid this original track these days. Although, anything's possible. My buddy and I were at the Sox game the other week when Fun's "We Are Young" came on the loudspeaker and he turned to ask me what it was. I mean you legitimately have to make an intense, proactive effort in order to avoid that track; shit blew my mind. Good for him. Anyways, The Sound of Arrows went ahead and remixed Maroon 52s smash, and it's synthed out to perfection like you'd expect. Get involved. Listen to Maroon 5, 'Payphone (The Sound of Arrows [...]

Jay-Z's Made In America Music Festival Lineup

Music festival season is upon us my friends. Lineup announcements are dropping left and right. Arguably the most anticipated news came from Jay-Z's camp, as he let loose the preliminary line-up for his first ever "Budwesier Made In America Music Festival" in Philly. This crew is eclectic as hell - and it all but certifies the fact that I'll be in The City of Brotherly Love the weekend of 9/1. Shoutout to The Knocks again - Holy Ship and Jay-Z's festival?? Damn. Lineup: JAY Z Pearl Jam Skrillex Miike Snow Afrojack Calvin Harris Odd Future D'Angelo Maybach Music (feat. Rick Ross, Wale, Meek [...]

Holy Ship!! 2013 Lineup

HARD Events released the official 2013 Holy Ship!! (Two exclamation points for the second year) lineup yesterday. It goes without saying that we'll be going back for round two. Shout out to The Knocks for being on the boat this year; it's gonna be mayhem yet again. Tweet

DVBBS – DRVGS (Aether & Clinton VanSciver Remix)

Yeah wow this song is serious. It's got a nice progressive feel in the beginning, then right in the middle it comes at you with a little dub, then back to that catchy progressive feel. It just hooks you right from the start and demands replay after replay. I'm new to Clinton VanSciver's material, but I can tell you he's a 20 year-old residing in LA who also goes by the alias Mister Perfect. Don't miss the free download via SoundCloud. Shout-out to Tony for another stellar recommendation. Tweet
