Long before he had success leading his own band, fiddle player Charlie Daniels had already racked up some pretty impressive credits. During the '60s, Daniels had seen Elvis Presley cut his song It Hurts Me in 1963 and, by decade's end, had become an in-demand Nashville session player, including credits on albums by Bob Dylan and touring with Leonard Cohen. The '70s saw Daniels successfully launch a career as an artist, fronting his own band.
