The internets have been abuzz in the past week with the official announcement that Okkervil River will be releasing a brand new record, The Stand Ins , on September 9th. Some confusion remains over whether it's supposed to be a proper appendix to their last record, as they've previously done ( Black Sheep Boy Appendix ) or an entirely new stand-alone record with similar themes.
