What do you get when you mix folksy Americana with a love of 60's psychedelic pop and a hint of bluegrass and a vague sense of Pavement slackerism? You get an album like Dr. Dog's Fate . Dr. Dog is a group out of Philadelphia which has inspired sometimes fanatical love from the music blogger community. It's not hard to see why. The band blends lilting rootsy rock with strings, horns, and most obviously some very quirky percussion.
