New Music: Vampire Weekend: "Everywhere&quo t; (Fleetwood Mac cover) [MP3]

Vampire Weekend apparently covered this Fleetwod Mac song at a recent radio session for Australia's Triple J . The track is from the 1987 album Tango in the Night , and it's been years since I've heard the original, but the thing that sticks out most about Vampire Weekend's cover is how closely Ezra Koenig sticks to Christine McVie's distinctive phrasing. You can hear her inside of it, despite the music being reworked to suit Vampire Weekend's leaner, more propulsive style. (via Pretty Much Amazing ) [...]
