Hawnay Troof's new LP Islands of Ayle coming out September 9th on Retard Disco has been spinning a lot around here of late. While it takes a few listens to dig in, this mish-mash of pop, dance, and rock is anchored by 'Troof's (real name: Vice Cooler?) clever songwriting, lo-fi production and masterful use of samples.
