You may recall that with last week's Broken Social Scene coverage , we mentioned that Land Of Talk vocalist Liz Powell had held her own on guitar and vocals. As such, we decided to do a little investimigation of her band's stuff, and we found ourselves to be liking it quite a bit (maybe even more than that). Even better news is that their new record, Some Are Lakes, drops on October 7th from Saddle Creek Records. It's sounding damn fine to our ears - we recommend you check it out. [...]
