Elbow win Mercury Prize
The Nationwide Mercury Prize has been announced in London tonight. Of the twelve nominated albums, Elbow's The Seldom Seen Kid was chosen by a panel of judges as the album of the year. They were presented with an award and a £20,000 cheque by Jools Holland. Earlier in the evening, the band performed the song 'The Loneliness Of A Tower Crane Driver'.
