Heartless Bastards, "Brazen" How awesome would it be if Chrissie Hynde fronted the North Mississippi All-Stars? That's right, pretty damn awesome. And as luck would have it, such a band actually exists under the moniker of Heartless Bastards, whose 2006 Fat Possum debut All This Time is as raw and exposed as anything R.L. Burnside or Cedell Davis released on the Oxford, Mississippi label. Better yet, the trio - fronted by vocal powerhouse Erika Wennerstrom, who moved from Cincinnati to Austin earlier this year - is playing in town tonight, still more Austin City Limits festival spillover.
