Blog: Indie MP3 - Keeping C86 Alive

Blackflower are band from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. 'You and Me' is their début LP after a couple of singles released in 2006 and 2007. They make good old fashioned guitar pop which takes elements from the 1960s to the present day. Overall this is a pleasant listen but not one that gets me over excited. I can't help think of a host of 1990s Britpop bands when I listen to 'You and Me' - maybe that's because they filter their 60s influences through the poppier side of 80s indie. [...]
