It's strange that a band's seventh studio album would be their most raw and aggressive. That's the case with the new Oasis album Dig Out Your Soul (out Oct. 7th). All the usual elements of Oasis' music are still here. It's a cocksure record with Beatle-esque harmonics and structures. Where Dig Out Your Soul diverges from a lot of the band's output is in its sheer intensity. The album opens with "Bag It Up" which is built around a gritty southern rock riff. [...]
