Sometimes you just wake up and realise that that day is the first of a new period - the beginning of a new era. Whether it's a birthday, a new job, a new apartment or a new sense of extremely surprising sobriety (don't worry that'll pass). A time to put old injuries to bed and drink a a can of concrete. It's nice to know the day holds something new, the month is full of surprises - and the season is undecided (though last season's was definitely Manly's, enjoy the finale Sea Eagles fans).
