Simon's Quest I never got into the first Castlevania. Sorry. It just seemed fucking impossible. One skeleton hits you, you bounce into another and bam bam, you're dead. But Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest? That was my game. It was a new take, incorporating role playing elements and the option to explore the world as you liked as opposed to linear level based combat while retaining the dark and spooky atmosphere.
