My first stop on today's CMJ bender will be Pianos for The Music Slut 's 11 act showcase, which features such buzz bands as Chairlift , A Brief Smile and Pattern is Movement . Also playing is Said the Whale , a Vancouver quintent who came to my attention last month with their poignant single "Curse of Currents." Although not entirely representative of their sound (they're a bit more poppy), this tune is a nice lil' introduction. They hit Pianos at three, so leave now.
