I've mentioned the New England pop act Miss Fairchild in these pages before , but somehow my particular influence hasn't rocketed them into the fame stratosphere quite yet. In an effort to promote their just-out (and quite good) Won't Be Your Kept Woman EP, the band has released a mixtape by occasional member Sammy Bananas. It mixes the band's own music with a ton of thoroughly enjoyable tracks by other artists (Prince, George Michael, Janet Jackson), and it's so far been successful at pushing back the invading forces of winter gloom.
