Review: Marnie Stern- This Is It and I Am It and You Are It and So Is That and He Is It and She Is It and It Is It and That Is That When you're dealing with a genre as intense, technical, and extreme as math rock, sometimes the the only way to get noticed is to be more intense, technical, and extreme then any other band out there. However, guitarist Marnie Stern takes these math rock modes and interprets them with a pop song sensibility. An interesting vocal delivery, odd time signatures, progressive lyrics, and the drumming of Hella's Zach Hill make sure this record complex and catchy. Read more...
