In my hometown of Baltimore, we have a way of referring to people who live in someone else's shadow, people who have to compete like hell to get just a fraction of the attention God decided to shower on somebody else. They are simply known as "Billy Ripken," in honor of the meek lil' brother of Cal Ripken, Jr., unquestionably the greatest human being to ever grace the earth.
