Blog: heartbreak tango

Okay, Truth: I stumbled across this whilst hunting for a torrent-full of Smiths stuff. And, it's not bad, though it has about as much to do with Morrissey/Marr as it does the Go-Betweens, early, non-sucky R.E.M., and you can probably fill in the likely other references. The Assistants have a new EP, Fiction , out on December 2nd, and the title track is the sort of pop/indie mush (also referred to, lovingly, by some as "Jangle-Pop") that sounds maybe like it could have been on college radio circa 1992.
