
There might not be a band out there with a sound as unaffected and nonchalant as Crystal Stilts. Even in the most fevered moments of the their new LP, Alight of Night , the band keeps a composure cooler than any arctic tundra. They're a band fit for the Titanic, because they'd really play until the ship sank. Crystal Stilts has a lot of easy-to-name influences, and their heavily reverbed sound is definitely a mainstay of the music, but good and simple pop songwriting is what ends up making this album so repeatable.
