
W olf Parade's by-the-numbers performance at the Blue Note on Friday could be described as a letdown. Little was said between songs. There were no revelatory anecdotes or mumbled jokes. No new material was played, and there were no impromptu covers of "Barracuda" or "Heartbreaker." None of the band members were visibly drunk; they remained rooted to small plots on stage for the duration, never once collapsing against an amp or stumbling into the wings.
