If he were still around, Peel would be championing The Pains… Styling themselves "perpetual teenagers", their faith in the restorative power of pop music would have given the old man a big (teenage) kick. 'Everything With You' is essential indiepop, breathless C-86-style guitar pop with boy/girl vocals heard through a wash of dirty fuzz. The self-titled flipside is an anthem to the indestructible power of pop music, Kip and Peggy's "we will never die" chant like a permanent graffiti on pop's front door.
