Blog: heartbreak tango

Drawn straight from a blueprint of shambolic blues-rock, "Satisfied" is a staggeringly well-produced single that introduces The Nouvellas ' considerable charms. Drums tight and back in the mix, guitar left to meander and tour the atmosphere, and above it all, a pair of Dusty Springfields anchoring the proceedings with significant vocal power and sizable attitude. There's even (if you listen real, real close) a nasty little bassline hook that deserves to be highlighted.
