It's a tragic lack, but I know next to nothing about Englishman Christopher William Bradshaw Isherwood's semi-autobiographical Berlin Stories (or Goodbye to Berlin ), which like no other book formed the image of the German capital for the English-speaking world , writes TIME magazine's Stephanie Kirchner.
