Is it just me or is Hot Chip churning out some fantastic covers lately? Their grown-up electronic rendition of Vampire Weekend's "Cape Cod..." with Peter Gabriel was one of the finer moments in cover-song history, and now their take on Joy Devision's devious "Transmission." In the hands of Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddar (Hot Chip in the studio), Ian Curtis' jam goes to a whole other, retro level.
