I'll cut straight to the chase here. This is marvellous. Every time I've listened to The Floodlight Collective in the past week I've been first entirely engulfed and then swept away by wave after unremitting wave of gloopy, thick, muddy, viscous noises from which my mind's focus has struggled to escape until the pulsing tremolo sound that is the climax of the album closing "A Threaded Needle" fades out.
