Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band contains Benjamin Verdoes and his 13 year old brother Marshall. A 13 year old? Now I feel old. The band's full length on Dead Oceans was co-produced by Scott Colburn (of Animal Collective and Arcade Fire fame). A recent news posting on Dead Oceans namechecks Wolf Parade , Modest Mouse , Pixies , Thin Lizzy , and Queen when talking about the band's sound. That's quite a list. A 13 year old?
