Passion Pit - Chunk of Change EP
Boston's Passion Pit have featured in a lot of people's lists for ones to watch out for in 2009, including a ninth place in the BBC's poll. For the first four of the six tracks here, I suffer their 80s synth pop cheesy casio melodies, irritating poo-pooping drum machine percussion and muffled high pitched vocals that seem to have been bolted on separately during a particularly drunken karaoke session, and wonder whether I'm completely out of step with this industry.
