I think this session can only be described as a classic. Peel often complained of how difficult it was to actually get sessions from reggae artists and how they would be booked in but never turn up. This was never going to be a problem with Laurel Aitken though as he lived in England for most of his musical life, Leicester to be exact. The only real surprise is the fact that this was the only session he recorded for the Peel program. Laurel Aitken died from a heart attack on 2005. [...]
