The Long Lost is the latest project of the experimental electro maestro Daedelus. This particular project is a duo, and Daedelus shares songwriting credits--and a last name--with his loving wife Laura B. Darlington. Their latest LP is self-titled, and it's a stunning meld of electronic and acoustic sounds. Not many sample-based albums reach this kind of dynamic; and with plenty of melancholy vocals and glockenspiel, there's not a heartstring the Long Lost can't pull at.
