Fox news took footage from September of Joe Biden quoting John McCain saying the fundamentals of the economy were strong , and used it as a sign that Democrats are now singing a different tune on the economy. After the segment, Fox News's Martha MacCallum said, "All right, well the mantra for the weekend is clear, looking at what was said over the course of the shows on Sunday."
