Blog: the velvet rut

Another new album release that has caught my attention in recent days has been the latest offering from recording artist Elvis Perkins. Perkins first popped up on many musical radar screens a couple years ago with the release of his dark, yet achingly beautiful debut album Ash Wednesday . For his sophomore follow-up Perkins' adds the company of his touring band (Elvis Perkins in Dearland) and together they have created an album that will most assuredly be included in a number of year-end "Best of" lists before all is said and done.
