Luftbrucke is the name of the solo-project of Elia Mercanzin, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Padua, northern Italy. After a ten-year experience as a rock drummer, in 2002, tired of the frustrating experience of playing cover songs and disappointed by the impossibility of producing original music within a group that genuinely reflected his personal musical influences, he started up his solo-project, creating and developing a low cost analog-digital creative environment in the privacy of his own flat and distributing his works as free downloadable files.
