I don't know if the word patriotism ever really conjures anything other than American flags and people stating that they are 'proud to be an American'. Being a British person in the USA continues to produce a lot of interesting dialogues and interactions. I am definitely proud to be British but for me it usually gets re-ignited when Britain is producing a lot of strong material in the creative arts.
