I first met Peter Broderick outside of Economy Candy during CMJ 2006, when he was a member of Norfolk & Western from Portland, OR. I remember being thunderstruck by his onstage chops-he switched fluidly among violin, saw, guitar and possibly banjo, fleshing out Adam Selzer's laid-back folk rock compositions. His sophistication as a multi-instrumentalist belied his age, which was only 19 at the time.
