Despite what the world keeps trying to say about Asher Roth, you've heard this record before. It's the generic rap debut you've bought 25 other times: overextended boasts, mindless misogyny, a decent beat or three. In interviews, he keeps telling us he's making hip-hop that people like me can relate to. But being in a relationship versus being single ("Be By Myself") is sitcom fodder; it's relatable only in the lamest and least interesting way possible.
