Blog: Critical Acclaim

One of the few minimal electronic albums that has caught my ear over the last few years was The Field's debut, From Here We Go Sublime . It was one of those great records that was pretty universal as to where you played it. It worked in traffic, at parties, pretty much all of the above. The weird thing about it though it was that the Field, aka Sweden's Axel Willner, didn't do much touring or promo for the album. I didn't even know what the guy looked like until he performed at Pitchfork last year. [...]
