The tunes from Australian Angus Stone's Lady of the Sunshine offer up some of the normal themes of a solo album: revenge, suicide, and love. The package these themes are delivered in sets it apart from anything I've heard lately though. Gentle, melancholic songs mesh with hard, bluesy stoner rock.
