I was browsing around ESPN.com just now and started reading a headline about former Oakland Raiders Center Barret Robbins, who went AWOL just before the Super Bowl a few years ago and then fell down a messy slope involving drugs, positive steroids tests and jail time. The story revealed that Robbins blamed himself for the Raiders' Super Bowl loss, and his overall demeanor now that he has been released from prison and is now in a halfway house. Normally a story like this would have absolutely no bearing on the day-to-day life of VLM, until I saw this passage: [...]
