Some artists really perfect their craft over time. And I'm sitting on the edge of my seat; waiting for Cass McCombs to do that. Every piece of music has its imperfections, but McCombs' 5th studio album is at an unfair advantage: Because it's so close to greatness, bad decisions stick out like the Jonas Brothers at a black metal show.Catacombs, in retrospect, is the perfect metaphor for this LP.
