The Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch, aka MCA, announced today that he has salivary gland cancer, and that the group will be canceling upcoming tour dates and pushing back the release of their new LP, Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 . The good news for Adam (and fans), is that the cancer is localized to his parotid gland and lymph node, and unlikely to spread. He will undergo surgery next week, followed by radiation treatment.
