It seems as if the death of legendary psychedelic musician Sky Saxon has had quite the profound effect on Billy Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins . The pair recorded a track together shortly before the late musician's passing on June 25th, and his influence remains steady over the latest Pumpkins track, debuted live this past Friday. The song, entitled "Freak," was performed to an intimate audience at Los Angeles' Echoplex, where a Saxon tribute was underway.
