If there were a Grammy for shoegaze album of the year - and I had the power to nominate people for Grammies - The Morning After Girls would be my front-runner this year. Imagine if My Bloody Valentine, Oasis and the Jesus & Mary Chain (and a few other such bands I'm probably forgetting) were all making sincere attempts at copping each others' sounds in a way that didn't sound at all like stealing.
