
San Francisco's Dodos began as an ambitious acoustic guitar/drums duo who wrapped their instrumental parts around each other in a unique way in service of crafty, catchy indie-pop tunes bearing touches of folk, art rock, and psychedelia. They achieved buzz-bin status with their second album, 2008's Visiter [ sic ], so all eyes were on the group (which subsequently became a trio for all intents and purposes) for the follow-up.
