Alt-country mainstay and Son Volt founder Jay Farrar (right) has partnered with Death Cab for Cutie vocalist Ben Gibbard (left) for a special collection of songs for a film documentary on the life and works of noted writer and "beat" poet Jack Kerouac: One Fast Move Or I'm Gone: Kerouac's Big Sur .
