HANK ALTOGETHER: "Rivers" by Sleeping States was one of my underlooked tracks of 2008. A buoyant (pun intended) ode to lethargy and murkiness, it made it on just about every mixtape I made both for myself and for others. It could have something to do with my unnatural attraction to Danny Deck's mantra at the end of All My Friends are Going to Be Strangers : "I want to see the rivers."
